When asked to create something random in the spirit of John Cage, I decided to go as random as I could possibly create. I decided on 4 parts. The notes of which were determined using a random number generator 1-12. The lengths (in seconds) were determined by a RNG 1-10 and the octave was left up to the performers discretion. All voices started after a random length of silence (also determined by RNG). I’m surprised with the result. -Chris Livesay
